2026 10th International Conference on Electrical, Mechanical and Computer Engineering (ICEMCE 2026)
was successfully held in Chengdu, China from October 30 to November 1, 2026!
The conference hosted by the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, this conference brought together experts, scholars, leading engineers, and young students from universities, research institutions, and enterprises both in China and abroad in Chengdu. Participants engaged in in-depth discussions on cutting-edge developments, key technologies, and engineering applications in the fields of electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and computer engineering; explored new trends in interdisciplinary integration; and established a high-level platform for international academic exchange.
The opening ceremony of the conference was presided over by Professor Chen Yong of the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China. In his address, Professor Long Bo of the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China noted that electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and computer engineering are currently accelerating their convergence with artificial intelligence, smart manufacturing, and next-generation information and communication technologies, continuously giving rise to new research questions and application scenarios in areas such as power systems and energy technology, mechanical design and automation, computer systems and software, industrial control, and intelligent equipment. He expressed his hope that the participating experts and scholars would use this conference as a platform to share research findings, jointly explore development trends, promote interdisciplinary collaboration, and foster a deep integration between academic research and engineering applications.
The conference featured a main session and two specialized breakout sessions. Four renowned experts in related fields were invited to deliver keynote presentations. These four presentations closely aligned with cutting-edge research and practical engineering applications, offering diverse perspectives and rich content: Udaya K. Madawala, IEEE Fellow and professor at the University of Auckland in New Zealand, addressed the real-world challenges facing new-generation distribution systems and elaborated on the solutions and application prospects offered by power electronics technology; Li Ming, Professor-Level Senior Engineer at the China Southern Power Grid Energy Development Research Institute Co., Ltd. / Guangzhou Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd., addressed the development needs of ultra-large urban power grids, sharing planning concepts and engineering practices for high-voltage, multi-terminal flexible DC transmission; Pietro Simone Oliveto, Professor at Southern University of Science and Technology, approached the topic from a theoretical perspective, conducting an in-depth analysis of a fundamental complexity problem in the field of evolutionary computation; Alam Md. Mahbub, a professor at Harbin Institute of Technology (Shenzhen), turned his attention to the ocean, presenting the latest research advances in energy harvesting from flow-induced vibrations.
The two thematic sessions were chaired by Xia Wentao, Associate Researcher at the Hunan Provincial Agricultural Equipment Research Institute, and Chen Zhangyong, Associate Professor at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, respectively. At the conference, scholars from universities, research institutes, and enterprises—including Inner Mongolia University of Science and Technology, Xi’an Jiaotong University, Jiangnan University, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, Southwest Petroleum University, China University of Petroleum (East China), and Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics—delivered oral presentations on topics such as intelligent sensing and fault diagnosis, dynamics in complex operational environments, tribology, and structural safety, fostering a lively atmosphere of discussion. A poster session was held concurrently with the conference. Authors from Fuzhou University, Dongguan University of Technology, Jiangsu University of Science and Technology, Zhejiang University of Technology, Guangxi University, and Zhejiang University presented their latest research findings through visually rich displays, attracting numerous attendees who stopped to exchange ideas and engage in in-depth discussions.
To encourage young researchers to devote themselves to their work and continue to innovate, the conference organized an awards competition for outstanding achievements, ultimately presenting five Outstanding Paper Awards, two Outstanding Oral Presentation Awards, and three Outstanding Poster Awards.
The successful convening of ICEMCE 2026 showcased cutting-edge advancements and emerging trends in the fields of electrical, mechanical, and computer engineering, further strengthening academic ties and practical cooperation among domestic and international universities, research institutions, and industry enterprises. Taking this as a new starting point, all participating parties will jointly advance interdisciplinary research to greater depths, accelerate the iteration of key technological innovations, and promote the commercialization of more research findings in fields such as power systems, smart manufacturing, and intelligent equipment, thereby injecting sustained momentum into the high-quality development of related industries.
